We are a New York City-based nonprofit organization that catalyzes environmental awareness and climate change action by harnessing the power of art and design. Founded by Executive Director Pino Fortunato in 2010, EcoArt Project brings together curatorial expertise and artists and designers on groundbreaking projects to promote and document a vibrant green art movement. Through juried competitions inviting artists from a wide range of media backgrounds to create work on specific environmental topics, we have launched numerous public exhibitions that investigate solutions for sustainable progress and design unique arts residency programs in rural and urban settings across the world.
In our more than 10-year history, we’ve led as a creative think tank for environmental art, publishing work by over 1,500 artists from around the world in our online Showcase. A digital forum with global viewership, including thought-leading art institutions, the Showcase functions as an in-progress catalogue chronicling the green art movement and as a platform for emerging artists to promote their work. At EcoArt Project, we operate with the goal of building the largest global network of artists and designers whose works promote the wellbeing of the planet.
